🐾 Meet Chloe – A Tiny Dachshund with a BIG Love for Her People! 🐾
💕 Chloe
🐶 Dachshund
🎂 6 years old
⚖️ 8.6 lbs.
💗 Female
Chloe may be a tiny 8.6-pound girl, but she has a whole lot of love packed into that little dachshund body! She’s intelligent, curious, affectionate, and happiest when she’s close to her people. If you’re looking for a little shadow, cuddle buddy, and adventure companion, Chloe may be your girl!

🐕 Other Dogs & Animals
Chloe does well with other small dogs and enjoys their company. When meeting a new dog, she may initially bark or stop to check them out, but she is not aggressive or standoffish. She warms up very quickly once she realizes she has a new friend.
Her experience with large dogs and cats is unknown.
👧 Children
Chloe’s experience with children is unknown.
🦮 Leash & Walks
Chloe is good on a leash and walks very nicely when her person takes the lead. Like any true dachshund, she can have a stubborn streak, but she is easy to handle and responds well to direction.
She loves to explore, and lizards and butterflies are among her favorite “hunting” targets!
🏡 House Training
Chloe is house trained. New surroundings can sometimes make potty routines challenging for dogs, but her foster family has had great success with her.
She is a very intelligent little girl who responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement. A treat for pottying outside and consistent cues to go out work especially well for her.
🛏️ Crate, Sleeping & Snuggling
Chloe is crate trained. Her foster family has two other dogs and crates Chloe when leaving the house for errands and at night because their beds are fairly high.
During the day, she enjoys relaxing in her dog bed, but given the choice, Chloe would absolutely love to snuggle up with her person in the big bed!
Chloe will attempt—and often succeed—at jumping onto furniture, so ramps or doggie stairs are highly recommended to help protect her back. She’s even been known to climb onto the back of the couch!

🍽️ Food & Toys
Chloe does not show food or toy aggression. Her foster family feeds all of the dogs in the same room at separate feeding stations, and Chloe does well with this arrangement.
She may, however, take advantage of an unattended meal if given the opportunity. After all, she is a dachshund! 😄
🚗 Car Rides
Chloe enjoys riding in the car. She rides in a dog seat on the center console, where she likes to watch the road and rest her little head on her person’s arm. She makes an adorable co-pilot!
👋 Meeting People & Dogs
Chloe is friendly with new people. She may bark initially, but she’s happy to make new friends once introductions are made.
She behaves similarly when meeting new dogs—there may be a little barking at first, but she warms up quickly.
Chloe is not shy or timid.
❤️ Personality & Companionship
The most important thing to know about Chloe is that she loves being with her people.
She does have some separation anxiety and doesn’t enjoy being left behind. She may bark when her family leaves and again when they return because she is so excited to see them. She settles down quickly and is not considered an excessive barker.
Thunderstorms and loud noises don’t seem to bother her.
Chloe would especially enjoy a home where she has one or more people around to keep her company. She also enjoys having other dogs nearby.
🌳 Chloe’s Ideal Home
Chloe is a classic little dachshund who loves to play, explore, investigate the yard, cuddle, and be part of whatever her family is doing.
A securely fenced area where she can safely explore would be a wonderful bonus. As with all dachshunds, her family should remember that digging can be part of the breed—even though Chloe’s foster family hasn’t experienced any problems with her.
Because dachshunds are prone to back problems, ramps or doggie stairs for beds and furniture are strongly recommended if she’ll be allowed up.
Adoptable Dachshund Chloe, 6 years old, 8.6 lbs.

💞 Most of all, Chloe craves love.
She’s a sweet, smart, affectionate little girl who wants to be close to her family and included in their lives. Whether she’s exploring the yard, watching for lizards, riding shotgun in the car, relaxing in her dog bed, or cuddling beside you, Chloe simply wants to be where her people are.
If you have plenty of love, companionship, and a cozy place beside you, Chloe is ready to make herself right at home. 🐾💕 Adoption Fee: $325
