🐾💕 MEET LULU! 💕🐾
Looking for a sweet little shadow who wants to be part of everything you do? Meet Lulu, an adorable 2-year-old, 15.4-lb. dachshund with a gentle heart and a whole lot of love to give! 🥰
Lulu is sweet, playful, affectionate, and incredibly docile. Her foster says she may be the most docile dog they’ve ever met! She can be a little shy at first, but give her time to approach on her own terms and before you know it, she’ll be sniffing you, making friends, and stealing your heart. ❤️
🌸 LULU AT A GLANCE

⚖️ Weight: 15.4 lbs.
💕 Personality: Sweet, gentle, playful, shy & affectionate
🏡 House Trained: Yes!
🐾 Leash Trained: Yes
🚗 Car Rides: Loves them!
🛏️ Dog Beds: Yes
📦 Crate Trained: Unknown — her foster doesn’t use a crate
🔊 Barking: Very little
💗 Separation Anxiety: Yes — Lulu is definitely a Velcro girl!

🐕 DOGS, CATS & KIDS
🐾 Small Dogs: Yes! Lulu does well with other small dogs.
🐕 Large Dogs: Not a good match. Lulu is usually afraid of larger dogs and would be happiest without them.
🐱 Cats: Probably not Lulu’s cup of tea. She spent a night around her foster’s friend’s cat and was very afraid of him. She showed no aggression, and the two were able to coexist as long as they kept their distance, but a cat-free home would likely be more comfortable for Lulu.
👧 Young Children: No
🧒 Older Children: Yes!
🦮 WALKS & OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
Put on that harness because Lulu LOVES her walks! 🌳🐾
She does well on a leash and absolutely loves exploring the world with her people. A walk around a new neighborhood, a trip to the springs, a visit to the dog beach, or another little adventure sounds like a wonderful day to Lulu.
And squirrels? 🐿️ Those are especially exciting!
🏡 HER DREAM HOME
One thing on Lulu’s wish list is a beautiful, securely fenced yard where she can safely spend time sniffing, exploring, playing, and keeping tabs on the neighborhood squirrels. 🌿🐿️
Even more important is having people who are home more often than not.
Lulu is a true Velcro dog. ❤️ She bonds closely with her humans and wants to be included in everyday life. She does show signs of separation anxiety and notices when her people aren’t around, so she needs a family that has plenty of time to spend with her and can include her in their activities and adventures.
🚗 HAVE CAR, WILL TRAVEL!
Lulu is a fantastic little passenger!
Her foster puts her carrier by the door before leaving, and Lulu will climb right in without even being asked. 🥹 She stays calm during car rides, doesn’t get carsick, and is always happy to head somewhere new with her favorite people.
🛏️ SLEEPING & SNUGGLES
Lulu uses a dog bed, and her foster has been teaching her to sleep in her own bed in the living room. She’s getting better at it…but eventually she may appear at the bedroom door and cry for her people. 🥺💕
Given the choice, Lulu would absolutely sleep with her humans! She simply wants to be wherever her favorite people are.

🚽 HOUSE TRAINING
Lulu is house trained and is very good about doing her business outside. 👏
She isn’t quite as reliable with pee pads, so regular opportunities to go outdoors work best for her.
🍖 FOOD & TOYS
Lulu has shown no food or toy aggression. Her foster describes her as an exceptionally docile little girl. 💗
⛈️ THUNDERSTORMS
Lulu is very afraid of thunder. Stormy nights can be especially difficult for her, and she may cry throughout the night. She’ll need a patient, comforting family who will help her feel safe when Florida’s thunderstorms roll through. ⛈️❤️
👋 MEETING NEW PEOPLE
Lulu is friendly, but she needs introductions to happen on her own time and on her own terms.
She may initially be shy and timid, so don’t rush her. Give her a little space and she’ll eventually come over for a sniff…and once she decides you’re okay, you’re friends! 🥰
