At 11 years young, Miss Brigette is a loving little gem who adores being close to her people. She loves other dogs, enjoys her walks and car rides, and is always ready to snuggle. Her perfect forever home will make her part of the family and give her all the companionship she craves. ❤️
🐶 DOG FRIENDLY — BIG & SMALL
Miss Brigette does wonderfully with other dogs! Her foster home has two dogs, and she gets along great with both. Even when one of them gets a little grumpy with her, Miss Brigette doesn’t let it bother her—she stays happy, playful, and friendly.
She especially loves playing with her foster family’s big, goofy Golden Retriever! 🐕💗
🐱 NO CATS, PLEASE!
Miss Brigette is definitely not a cat girlie! 😹 She will try to chase cats, so a cat-free forever home will be the best and safest match for her.
👧👦 GREAT WITH KIDS OF ALL AGES
Miss Brigette loves children! In fact, her foster’s kids battle over who gets to sleep with her at night! 🥰 She is a true snuggle bug and loves being included with her family.
🦮 LEASH & WALKING MANNERS
Miss Brigette is good on a leash and loves going for walks! Just keep an eye out for squirrels and cats—they definitely get her attention! 🐿️
🏡 HOUSE TRAINED
Great news—Miss Brigette is house trained! 🎉
Her crate-training history is unknown, but she does use dog beds. She usually chooses to sleep with the kids, although she is perfectly content sleeping in her own cozy bed nearby—as long as she can be close to her people. 🛏️💕
🍖 FOOD & TOYS
Miss Brigette has shown no food or toy aggression. She may, however, have a few things to say when it’s time to eat—this girl will bark to remind you that dinner is important! 😂
🚗 CAR RIDES & ADVENTURES
Miss Brigette enjoys car rides and is happy to come along for the adventure!
👋 SOCIAL BUTTERFLY
She is friendly when meeting new people and new dogs and is not shy or timid. She has a happy, loving personality and enjoys being part of the action.

Miss Brigette does have some separation anxiety and does not like being left alone. She would thrive in a home where her people are around often and where she can enjoy plenty of companionship.
⛈️ THUNDERSTORMS & BARKING
Miss Brigette is afraid of thunderstorms and loud noises and can be quite barky at times. Thunderstorms and mealtime are two occasions when you’re especially likely to hear her voice! 📣🐾

🦷 Dental Care: Miss Brigette will need another dental in approximately 6 months.
Miss Brigette needs to lose 8 lbs., she has already lost 2. She is looking for a forever family who will continue giving her the care she needs to stay happy, healthy, and comfortable as she enjoys her golden years. 💕🐾

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
