Every year, we help hundreds of dachshunds get the medical treatment they need. Although our private offices are based in the Englewood area, we rescue dogs all over the state of Florida! Services we provide include: medical care, surgeries, fostering, adoption to forever homes, & more . . .

LR Dachshund Rescue Transparency
We have, once again, earned the GOLD Transparency designation from Candid (formerly GuideStar) for transparency. The Candid Gold Seal of Transparency is a recognition for nonprofit organizations that share comprehensive information about their operations, goals, strategies, and achievements on Candid’s nonprofit profile. To earn it, a nonprofit must first complete the requirements for the Bronze and Silver Seals, which cover basic information and financial data, respectively. The Gold Seal then requires nonprofits to provide in-depth qualitative information, demonstrating their commitment to transparency and accountability to donors and funders.

Low Rider Dachshund Rescue FL Programs
It’s been said, “It takes a village” and our village includes good folks from all over the state. We work together every day to ensure that the dachshunds and small dogs (mixes) who come to the rescue get the care they need and the best possible home to fit their needs. It takes many hands throughout the process to bring each dog from Intake through to Adoption in their loving forever home. Our programs include Intake, Fostering and Mentoring, Medical Care, Administrative (processing applications, marketing, and much more), Transport, Fundraising, and Adoption. We welcome volunteers with a heart for rescue and a desire to use their skills to assist in the achievement of our mission.
