๐ Meet Echo! ๐
Echo is an adorable 10-year-old, 8.5 lb. female Dachshund mix with a beautiful personality and so much love to give. She is affectionate, playful, loves attention, and is looking for a forever family where she can be the little center of their world!

๐ถ Other Dogs
Echo likes other dogs and did well living with her fosterโs Dachshund, Luke. She does enjoy being the center of attention, though! Her experience with larger dogs is unknown, and she hasnโt had the opportunity to meet other new dogs while in foster care.
๐ง Children
Echoโs experience with children is unknown.
๐ฆฎ Walks & Outdoor Fun
Echo is good on a leash and absolutely loves going for walks and exploring. She also loves to run, jump, and play with balls, so a home with a secure yard where she can safely enjoy some outdoor playtime would be wonderful for her.
๐ก House Training
Echo is house trained and will potty outdoors as well as use a pee pad inside.
๐๏ธ Sleeping & Crate
Echo sleeps wonderfully in her crate with cozy blankets. Her foster believes she would probably be comfortable sleeping in a dog bed as well. She especially loves to burrow underneath blanketsโa true Dachshund trait!
Her routine in foster care has been bedtime around 7 PM, and she sleeps through the night until about 7 AM, when she is ready for breakfast. She is fed twice a day.

๐งธ Toys & Mealtime
Echo has shown some toy possessiveness, so her interactions with toys should be supervised, especially around other dogs. Her foster also feeds her separately from other dogs to help prevent any potential issues at mealtime.
๐ Car Rides
Echo loves going for car rides! When itโs time for an adventure, sheโll happily jump right into the car.
๐ Meeting New People
Echo may bark at strangers and unfamiliar people at first, but once she becomes comfortable, her affectionate personality comes shining through. She loves attention and especially enjoys tummy rubs and head scratches.
๐ Personality & Anxiety
Echo isnโt particularly shy, but she did show some anxiety when she first arrived in her foster home. Once she felt safe and comfortable, she settled in nicely.
She may hide under the bed when she feels unsure and doesnโt like thunderstorms or the sound of the vacuum cleaner. She generally only barks at strangers or when something noisyโsuch as thunderโgets her attention.
Echo also has some separation anxiety and is very happy and excited to see her people when they return home.
