🐶 Other Dogs

Dior’s feelings about other dogs can depend on the situation. While sitting on her foster’s lap, she has growled and shown her teeth at other dogs. Dior loves being the center of her person’s attention and can become possessive of that special spot.

However, Dior spent time with a vacation foster and did great with a Pit Bull! Her vacation foster also reported that she did well meeting new dogs and Dior has been known to play with other dogs.

Because of this, slow and thoughtful introductions to other dogs are important, and her future family should understand that she may not appreciate another dog approaching while she’s cuddled up in someone’s lap.

🦮 Walks & Adventures

Dior loves going for walks! She may pull a little at the beginning because she’s excited to get going, but she settles down and walks nicely.

Sometimes she’ll even get a little ahead of herself because she wants you to know she’d like to pick up the pace! 😂

For Dior’s safety, she should always be secured with a collar/leash when outside unless she’s in a securely fenced yard.

🚗 Car Ride Queen!

If Dior had to choose between a nap and a car ride, it might be a tough decision! 😂

She LOVES going for rides and will immediately head toward the car when she goes outside. She gets excited to hop in and looks completely pleased with herself once she’s settled in. Dior would make an adorable little road-trip companion! 🚙💨

🏡 House & Crate Training

Dior is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside.

She is also crate trained and will sometimes choose to sleep in her crate during the day. At bedtime, she isn’t quite as enthusiastic about going in and may need a little assistance. Once settled, though, she is quiet throughout the night and doesn’t have accidents.

Dior also enjoys dog beds and has slept in her foster’s bed once. Because the bed is very high, her foster decided it was safer not to risk her jumping on and off.

🥰 Professional Cuddle Bug

Dior wants to be where her person is. She loves affection, belly rubs, kisses, naps, soft blankets, and finding the perfect spot close to her human.

Occasionally she’ll follow you everywhere, and if you close a door between you, she may scratch at it once or twice to remind you that Dior believes closed-door meetings should include Dior. 😂

Thankfully, she does well when actually left home alone. She’ll hang out on the couch and then be very excited to see you when you return.

👋 Meeting New People

Dior is wonderful meeting new people and immediately welcomes affection and attention. She has not shown any growling toward people and is not shy or timid.

She also isn’t bothered by thunderstorms or loud noises and does not bark excessively.

🍽️ Food & Treats

Dior prefers soft food, especially Freshpet-style food, and struggles with eating hard food.

Treats are another favorite—and Dior is perfectly willing to demonstrate just how cute she can be when there’s a treat involved! 🦴😍

🏠 Dior’s Perfect Home

Dior would love a home where she can be someone’s little companion and best friend. She has so much affection to give and would happily spend her days going on walks, taking car rides, napping under blankets, and soaking up all the love she can get.

If there are other dogs in the home, her family should be prepared for slow introductions and understand that Dior can be protective of her person’s lap and attention.
