Pippy is a 1-year-old Terrier mix weighing just 10 lbs, and she is bursting with love, personality, and resilience. This sweet girl has already overcome so much and is ready to find a forever home where she can truly shine. 💕
✨ About Pippy:
- Female | 1 year old | 10 lbs
- Loves all nice dogs – playful and submissive
- Great with children of all ages (the grandkids adore her!)
- Very smart and full of playful puppy energy
- Friendly meeting new people
- Enjoys car rides and does great traveling
🐕 Training & Habits:
- Good on a leash (still learning since she didn’t have prior experience)
- Almost housetrained – uses a pee pad at night
- Crate/X-pen trained (does well with a little extra space)
- Sleeps in her own space (not in bed with foster)
- Loves toys—she’ll even gather them and bring them to her pen 🧸
🏡 Personality & Home Needs:
- Sweet, happy, and affectionate
- Loves food (great motivator for training!)
- Would do best in a home with a fenced yard
- May need a durable dog bed (she got bored during recovery and chewed a few!)
- Unknown with cats, but showed no reaction when briefly introduced
🩺 Medical & Care:
Pippy is a true little fighter. She was found after being hit by a car and brought to an emergency vet by a kind stranger. With help from Low Rider Dachshund Rescue, she received lifesaving care for:
- Two broken legs & a fractured femur
Now she’s on the mend and thriving! She has received:
- Vet Check
- Vaccines
- Dental Exam
- Spay
- Major life-saving surgery
- Temporary medication (post-injury care)
- Nail trim
- Flea treatment
- Heartworm testing & prevention

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
