Personality

Ocean truly loves EVERYONE. She is friendly with all people and animals and may even have a slight soft spot for men! She enjoys cuddling on the couch watching TV just as much as she enjoys playing and interacting with other dogs.

She has a calm, easygoing personality overall and settles beautifully into home life. Ocean occasionally whines when adjusting to a new environment, but another friendly dog helps her feel safe and comfortable.

She barks occasionally when her human arrives home or at passing animals, but overall she is not an excessive barker — just a typical little dachshund keeping watch.

Potty Training & Routine

🚽 Ocean is still learning potty training because she never had proper training before rescue. She does go potty outside when taken out frequently and is making good progress.

🧠 She is very smart and highly treat motivated, which will help her continue learning quickly.

🩲 Her foster keeps her in doggy diapers indoors just in case, especially in a larger home with multiple dogs. Thankfully, Ocean doesn’t mind wearing them at all — and honestly, she looks adorable in them!

Crate & Sleeping Habits

🛏️ Ocean is crate trained and sleeps peacefully in her crate at night.

🏡 During the day, her foster leaves the crate door open and Ocean often chooses to relax inside on her own because it has become her cozy safe space.

She also enjoys relaxing in soft dog beds and lounging near her people.
