Adoptable Mix Chase (Pending Adoption, please don’t apply!)

Adoptable Mix Chase, is a 7-year-old dachshund mix weighing in at just 13 pounds, with the sweetest soulful eyes and the cutest little “gremlin ears” that pop up when he’s alert. This gentle boy is ready to find a calm, loving home where he can truly feel safe and secure.

The ideal home for Chase:

  • Calm, low-traffic environment
  • Patient and understanding adopter
  • Someone home often (or willing to work through separation anxiety)
  • No small children
  • Another calm dog is a plus, but not required

Chase is a wonderful companion once he settles in. He enjoys leisurely walks (he’s great on a leash and walks calmly by your side), loves car rides, and is happiest curled up on the couch or snuggled in bed close to his person. While he has access to his crate, he now prefers being near you – he’s a quiet little shadow who just wants to be part of your world.

He does well with other small dogs after a short adjustment period. While he may not be playful, he finds comfort in calm, steady canine companions and has already bonded with a more easygoing dog in his foster home. He’s also house trained, crate trained, and has great manners – no food or toy aggression, and he even plays a little fetch when he’s in the mood.

Chase is, at his core, a sensitive and shy dog. He takes time to trust new people and will need a patient adopter who understands that relationships with him are built with time. He’s not aggressive at all – just cautious – and once he feels safe, his sweet personality begins to shine.

Because of his sensitive nature, Chase would do best in a quieter home. He previously lived with small children and found the environment overwhelming, so a home with adults or older, respectful kids would be ideal. He also experiences separation anxiety and can bark or howl when left alone, so he’s looking for someone who is home often and can provide the reassurance and stability he needs.

Chase thrives with calm, confident leadership and a consistent routine. With the right person, he will blossom into an incredibly loyal, loving companion who forms a deep bond with his human.

Adoptable Mix Chase – 7 years old, 13 pounds

Chase isn’t the kind of dog who will be everyone’s best friend right away – but if you give him time, he will give you his whole heart. Adoption Fee: $250.

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
