💙 Personality & Temperament:
Finch is a gentle, submissive little guy who absolutely adores other animals. He loves to run, play with toys, “dog wrestle,” and then curl up next to his furry friends for a nap.
His best buddy is a 70 lb dog he follows everywhere—size doesn’t matter to him!
He’s great with:
- ✔️ Other dogs (LOVES big dogs!)
- ✔️ Cats
- ✔️ Older children
Finch can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, his fun, puppy-like personality shines through. He loves meeting new people and will quickly steal your heart.
🚗 A Few Things to Know:
- Still working on house training (making progress!)
- Crate trained – eats, sleeps, and stays comfortably in his crate when alone
- Sleeps through the night in a dog bed
- Not leash trained yet
- Gets car sick and doesn’t enjoy rides
- Nervous at the vet but otherwise very easygoing
- Not food or toy aggressive at all
📖 Fun Fact:
Finch is named after Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird—a calm, good-hearted soul. But don’t be fooled… once he breaks out of his “Atticus” persona, he’s all puppy! He loves to explore, play, and stay busy.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
