Adoptable Dachshund Sally – Adopted

Adoptable dachshund Sally is the BEST snuggle bug, she loves nothing more than sitting on your lap. If she hears a dish rattle in the kitchen, she always comes running to do her happy food dance. She really enjoys going for a walk and also loves to go for car rides.

Sally is reported to be in good health. She has been fully vetted through Low Rider and has received 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Dental Cleaning, Medication (temporary – like for acute infection), Spay or Neuter, Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication. Sally had surgery to remove a cherry eye, and now is just beautiful!

Adoptable Dachshund Sally

Sally likes other dogs, she might bark at first, but she’s really just starting doggie conversation with new friends! She barks at cats, but isn’t aggressive. Her foster mom has been working with her to get to know the one across the street. So far so good!

A friendly girl, Sally has gotten along fine with her foster mom’s grandson. Like many doxies, she hates to walk in wet grass so, in the morning or after a rain, she takes a little longer to go. This little sweetheart LOVES to go for walks!

Adoptable Dachshund Sally

Adoptable Dachshund Sally – 12 yrs, 16 lbs.

While her foster hasn’t had the need to use it, Sally is crate trained and has been well behaved when she has used it. A dog bed is where she sleeps, but she would likely love to sleep in bed with her people.

Not food or toy aggressive, she’s a pretty calm girl. She loves to go in the car, if she hears your keys rattle, she heads for the door. True to her general nature, she’s very calm in the car and just sits in the seat.

Friendly when meeting new people, she loves everyone, but is a little shy until you pick her up and then she melts and loves to cuddle. Similar to meeting people, she is shy at first with new dogs, but is fine once she knows there isn’t a threat.

Adoptable Dachshund Sally

This little senior lady is in search of a best friend (or family) who will enjoy taking her for walks, sneaking her treats from the kitchen, and taking her for occasional rides in the car. She wants to be with her person, but is fine with some time on her own. Sally is hoping to find her forever home soon! Her foster says she acts much younger than her 12 (reported) years.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
