❄️ Meet Frosty (aka Mucca)! 🐾
🐶 Breed: Dachshund Mix
💙 Gender: Male
🎂 Age: 2 Years
⚖️ Weight: 5 lbs.
❤️ Frosty’s Personality
Frosty, affectionately nicknamed Mucca (Italian for “cow”), is the sweetest, most loyal little companion you could ask for. He wants to be wherever his people are—whether that’s following you around the house, curled up beside you on the couch, or snuggled under the blankets at bedtime. His loving kisses and soulful eyes will melt your heart in no time!
While he’s naturally shy and a little timid (typical Chiweenie nerves!), he warms up with patience and kindness. Frosty would thrive in a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods and can spend plenty of time with his favorite people.

🐕 Dog, Cat & Kid Friendly
🐾 Small Dogs: ✔️ Loves other small dogs and would do well with a calm companion who respects his space.
🐕 Large Dogs: ⚠️ Barks and growls at larger dogs and prefers to keep his distance.
🐈 Cats: ❓ Unknown.
👧 Children: Best with children 5 years and older. His shy personality makes him uncomfortable around very young children.
🚶 Exercise & Adventures
🌳 Frosty loves his daily neighborhood walks and walks nicely on a leash.
🏡 Once he’s finished exercising, he’s happy to head back inside—he’s definitely an indoor pup who enjoys the comforts of home.
🚗 Car rides? Absolutely! He even handled a 10-hour road trip to North Georgia like a champ.
🏡 House Manners
🚽 Mostly house trained and does very well with a regular potty schedule. If his cues are missed or he’s left too long without going outside, he may have an accident.
🦴 Loves playing independently with his toys, chewing on bones, and racing around the house during his adorable zoomies.
🍖 Not food or toy aggressive.

💤 Bedtime
🛏️ Loves cozy dog beds.
❤️ His favorite place to sleep is tucked under the covers with his people.
📦 Crate trained! He may whine briefly at first but settles down nicely. While he’ll use a crate, he prefers to free roam when home alone.
👋 Meeting New Friends
😊 Friendly with new people, although he may be a little nervous at first.
🐶 Friendly meeting other small dogs.
🤎 Sweet, gentle, and affectionate once he feels safe.
🔕 Not an excessive barker.
💙 Very attached to his people but does settle when left alone and does not show signs of separation anxiety.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
