Adoptable Dachshund Boujie – Adopted

Adoptable dachshund Boujie is a cuddle bug from way back. He’s a sweet dog who loves to be with his people. Boujie has been friendly when meeting new people. When he first arrived, he was a bit shy, but hasn’t shown any real signs of anxiety. Initially, during his adjustment period there was some mild anxiety.

He likes other dogs, but it’s unknown as to how he feels about cats. Boujie hasn’t been around children in our care so we don’t know how he would do with young ones, but calmer older kids should be fine and younger visitors should be supervised. Although, he is a good natured dog.

Boujie is pretty quiet. He only barks when he wants us to hold him or something to eat from the table. Evidently the owner fed him from the table. His foster parents have allowed him to have a special treat from the table when he waits patiently.

He walks well on the leash and loves to walk. When we ask him if he wants to go for a walk, he gets all excited. Boujie is house trained and doesn’t tend to have accidents.

He is both accustomed to sleeping in the bed with his owner and has quickly adjusted to sleeping in his new dog bed. He loves his new bed. This good boy is neither toy or food aggressive. He isn’t aggressive at all, and defers to the other dog in his foster home.

On car rides, Boujie does fine if it is a fairly short ride. On longer car rides, he tends to get nervous and shaky.

Boujie has allergies. When we first got him he was itching and had a lot of hair loss. We immediately took him to the Vet. He received a shot, antibiotics, and Ketoconazole that he takes a 1/2 pill every day. It made a hug difference in his skin. We also changed his food. So the combination is really helping. He gets prettier every day. I am not a professional but, I think perhaps he might need to be on allergy meds on a regular basis or maybe seasonal????

In our care he received: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Skin treatments/ infections, Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication

Adoptable Dachshund Boujie – 10 yrs, 19.5 lbs

Boujie is the sweetest boy. He bonded immediately. He likes to watch football with his foster parent. He loves to sleep in his new bed, but Boujie would sleep with you if you wanted. He spends most of the day on the recliner waiting for you to sit with him. He loves snuggles and kisses from people. If it was his choice he would love to sit on your lap all day. So he needs someone that is home most of the time. He loves to walk. If you ask him if he wants to take a walk, he gets all excited and starts jumping and dancing. Boujie is the perfect house dog if you want to cuddle most of the day. Adoption fee is $250
