Adoptable Dachshund Treble – Adopted

Adoptable Dachshund Treble is such a sweet boy who dances when he walks! He loves the outdoors and is particularly fascinated with trees.

Adoptable Dachshund Treble

Treble is calm and accepting of other dogs. He does well in groups. We have only seen him interact with other doxies his size or smaller. It’s unknown as to how he would do with cats, but he is a gentle soul!

Because he had issues with IVDD, it would be best for him to be in a home without young children. Older kids who are aware of how to handle him with care should be fine. Treble underwent surgery in our care for IVDD.

Treble

Treble is good on a leash and enjoys walks. It’s important to use a harness to protect his spine. Shorter walks are best. He is not crate trained and although familiar with the doggie door, doesn’t always bother to use it. Short, frequent walks along with consistant training is needed.

Treble

During the day he takes naps in his dog bed. At night, he prefers to sleep in the big bed with his humans! He is neither food, nor toy, aggressive.

Treble has a calm and quiet nature. He rides well in the car, and does not bark excessively. As a matter of fact, he barely barks at all. He does have some separation anxiety and prefers to have someone around much of the time. Although he doesn’t like it when his fosters leave the house, he is never destructive.

Adoptable Dachshund Treble

In our care he has received: Vet Check, Medication (temporary – like for acute infection), Spay or Neuter, Major Surgery – IVDD, Nails Trimmed, Heart Worm testing and medication, Major Dental (cleaning and removal).

Treble truly is a gentle and loving soul. An ideal home for Treble would be a one level home with another dog(s) who enjoy playmates and an owner(s) who will snuggle with him and be attentive to his delicate spine. His adoption fee is $ 300

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
