Healthy Pumpkin Pie for Dogs

Healthy pumpkin pie for dogs makes a great treat whether you’re celebrating a birthday or holiday with your favorite pup!

Simple ingredients keep things healthy and safe for your dog. I like to use a simple oat flour mixed with an egg to make and hold the crust.

Always use regular canned pumpkin instead of pumpkin pie filling.

Healthy Pumpkin Pie for Dogs Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

To make the Pumpkin Pie Crust – In a large bowl, mix the oat flour and egg until combined. Kneed the dough a few times and to form it into a ball.

Roll out the dough and use a cutter, cup, bowl, or jar lid a little larger than your muffin pan to create the crusts. Lightly spray with an olive oil or vegetable oil spray across the muffin cups. Press the crusts into each cup of the pan.

Bake the crust for 7-8 mins.

To create the yummy Pumpkin Pie Filling – In another bowl, combine the can of pumpkin puree, 1 tablespoon of honey, an egg, and cinnamon.

Mix well with mixer. Once it’s nice and smooth, pour the filing into each of the individual pie crusts.

Bake for 30 mins.

Pumpkin Pie Topping – Mix ½ cup Greek Yogurt, if desired, add cornstarch slowly with a splash of milk or water.

Once pies are cooked and cooled, add topping and sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon, if desired.
