Adoptable Dachshund Henry – Adopted

Adoptable Dachshund Henry is a sweet fellow with a big personality.  He just loves all people!!! Henry enjoys car rides and just being close to his human. Now he enjoys golf cart rides too.

Henry

Henry’s journey began with his foster just after Thanksgiving, 2021. His fur was thin, his ears and eyes inflamed, which was causing him distress. Henry started eating special food, no treats, medication, and the twice-weekly baths. He is good about all of it, except the “no treats” part. He may have been eating table food and was part of the “clean plate club”.  Henry’s now on a strict diet, so those days are gone and he is improved!

Henry is usually quiet, until he wants something – then he can be very vocal. He is good in the house, with only a few mistakes. Getting along with cats is no problem, and he is fine with other dogs and people. He has not been around small children.

Henry

Henry sleeps like a true Dachshund, under a blanket in one of his beds. He was using a crate, but he has had the run of the foster house. At night he sleeps in his little bed in the bedroom (under a blanket). Henry has hearing loss and limited vision, so he should gently be woken up to go outside for “business”.

Adoptable Dachshund Henry begs to go for car rides, but “talks” excitedly the whole time!!!  He will also bark for food, attention, up/down, in/out.  Henry eventually settles down.

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
