Adoptable Senior Dachshund Sasha – Adopted

Adoptable Senior Dachshund Sasha

Adoptable senior dachshund Sasha is a lovable sweetie who needs her forever home. She loves to go for short walks, and enjoys being pushed in a dog stroller soaking up the beautiful Florida weather!

She had a terrible infection but even after having to have a back leg removed, Sasha gets around very well and enjoys participating with you. Her recovery was speedy and showed overall good health, once the infection was cleared up.

Sasha is fully potty-trained and crate trained, but needs to go out fairly frequently. She likes other dogs and tolerates puppies. As an older lady, it’s harder for her to be around quite that much activity! It’s unknown how she feels about cats, but her foster thinks it’s unlikely that she would mind them.

She will sleep in a big comfy bed but prefers to snuggle in the big bed with her humans. Sasha has been sleeping happily with her fosters every night!

Although she isn’t food aggressive, Sasha does get super excited for food and treats. She will tell you to hurry up but in the sweetest way!

This little doxie is terrific during car rides, and enjoys going along for the ride. She likes meeting new people. Sasha loves everyone, but is also quite independent! She can be a bit shy, but shows no signs of separation anxiety.

Sasha is the perfect mature lady! Even though she lost her back leg, she gets around just fine. She’s independent but enjoys love and attention on her terms. Sasha is great around other dogs but prefers a quiet home. She loves her food, treats, stroller rides and just being around her people. Her big soulful eyes will win you right over, she really is pretty perfect. Now, she needs her perfect home!

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
