Adoptable Mix Tank – Adopted

Adoptable Chiweenie Mix Tank is 1.5 years old and 7.2 pounds. He has personality, heart, and a little dash of comedy!

Tank was found on the side of Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando with a broken paw, scared, unsure, and all alone. But this brave little guy has come such a long way. Today, he’s healed beautifully, wrestles with the other dogs in his foster home, and proudly enjoys being the “star patient” everywhere he goes. This boy is a character in the best possible way.

Tanks Forever Home Checklist ✅:

• A home without cats
• Ability to free-roam in the house (he is not crate-trained)
• A fenced in yard he can run around when he gets the zoomies

Tank Loves: 

• Playing, wrestling, and being silly with other small dogs – he’s been living with three dachshunds and doing AMAZINGLY well
• Snuggling under warm blankets
• Treats (big fan)
• Long lap-sits – he could stay there for hours
• Back-yard adventures and running freely
• Car rides

Personality & Behavior:

• Friendly with new dogs
• Not super friendly the second new people walk in – but warms up quickly
• Not shy or timid – just alert and learning the world is safe
• Shows some anxiety (he startles easily), but:
 – No fear of thunder
 – No fear of loud noises
 – No separation anxiety
• Barks about as much as your average doxie crew
• Independent spirit (will literally put himself to bed when he’s tired)

Vetting and Medical

In our care, Tank has received a vet check, surgery for his broken paw, is on monthly heartworm preventatives and has been neutered. 

We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
