Bagel’s Forever Home Checklist ✅:
✔ A home with another playful dog who can match his energy and enjoy playtime
✔ A fenced yard is preferred to keep him safe and satisfied
✔ Someone who’s home often or can help him build confidence with alone time would be wonderful.
Personality & Temperament:
Bagel LOVES to play, especially with other dogs. He enjoys “bitey-face” style play, so supervision during rowdy play is recommended, but he gets along great with dogs of all sizes (he even loves big dogs!).
He’s outgoing, friendly, and never shy or timid. He doesn’t usually bark at new people and happily lets everyone pet him. Meeting new dogs? He’s instantly ready to play! He doesn’t show any food or toy aggression and truly enjoys being part of the fun.
Bagel is interested in cats and may want to chase, but we’re unsure how he’d react living with them full-time.

🚶♂️ Walks & Training
Bagel is good on a leash and enjoys his walks. He could use a bit more training, but he doesn’t pull or tug.
He’s also house trained, having minimal accidents as long as he gets outside a few times a day.
He is crate trained and will settle in, though he does have some separation anxiety for the first few minutes and may chew if left unsupervised, so he is crated when home alone.
He does not bark excessively.
At night, Bagel sleeps with his foster (he ignores dog beds!) and once it’s bedtime, he’s out like a light. He’s a wonderful sleeper.
🧠 Training & Behavior
Bagel is very food-motivated and eager to learn. He’s currently working on:
• coming when called
• resisting the urge to dig

Vetting and Medical
In our care, Bagel has received a vet check, nail trimming, flea and heartworm medication.

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.
*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
