Adoptable Mix Remy is a 3-year-old, 16-pound Chiweenie with a huge heart and an even bigger attachment to his person.
This little guy is the definition of a velcro dog – if you’re sitting, he’s in your lap; if you’re lying down, he’s burrowed under the covers right next to you. He is an elite cuddler, a professional blanket tunnel expert, and your future shadow. Remy bonds deeply and loves with his whole being.
Remy’s Forever Home Checklist ✅:

Remy enjoys the simple joys in life: walks, car rides, cozy dog beds, and his favorite toys. He walks well on a leash and truly looks forward to his daily outings. He is mostly house-trained, though he can’t quite make it through the night without a potty break. He has been using a pee pad overnight. He has not been crated in his foster home but comes with a crate and has previously been comfortable using one.
Because Remy loves so deeply, he can be protective and anxious. He does not do well with other dogs and can show food and toy guarding behaviors around them. He also struggles when meeting new people and is especially uncomfortable around men and children. For this reason, Remy needs a calm, adult-only home with a single female owner and no other pets, where he can feel safe and not have to share his person. He has not been exposed to cats in this foster home.
Vetting and Medical
In our care, Remy has received a vet check, vaccines, a dental exam, nail trimming, and is on monthly heartworm preventatives. Remy is a sensitive and timid boy who experiences anxiety, especially at the vet, in new environments, or when left alone. He does have medication (Trazodone) prescribed as needed to help him through stressful situations.

Remy isn’t the dog for a busy or social household – he is for someone who wants a constant companion, a couch buddy, a walking partner, and a little dog who will love them fiercely and loyally. In the right home, Remy will absolutely thrive and give back tenfold in affection, devotion, and snuggles. Adoption Fee: $300.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
