Adoptable Dachshund Mix Tater Tot is a fun-sized Doxie mix who is 3 years old and 15 pounds of pure joy, energy, and affection. He’s cheerful, friendly, and always ready to explore the world with his people. Whether it’s a walk through the park, a trail run, or a car ride adventure, Tater Tot is all in – tail wagging, eyes bright, and heart full. 💛
Tater Tot gets along beautifully with other dogs, from spunky Chihuahuas to gentle German Shepherds. He’s respectful of senior dogs and loves playful romps with younger ones (sometimes a little too playful, but he listens when it’s time for a break). He’d be thrilled to have a doggy sibling to play and zoom around with, his nickname is “Turbo Tot” for a reason!
This smart boy is perfectly house trained, crate trained, and excellent on a leash. He loves his crate at bedtime and hasn’t had a single accident indoors. He rides calmly in the car, knows how to “sit,” and even lets his foster family trim his nails with no fuss. Baths? No problem! In fact, after one, he once tried to pull a towel off the clothesline so he could help dry himself, what a clever little guy!
Tater Tot is a social pup who bonds deeply once he gets to know you. He can be a bit shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for his affectionate side to shine through. He’s gentle, funny, and loves to follow his person around like a loyal little shadow, sneaking in kisses or giving a sweet nudge for attention.
He’d do best in an active home where he can go on regular walks or runs, he’s a fantastic jogging partner who stays focused on the trail and loves every second of it. Then, when the adventures are done, he’s happy to curl up nearby while you relax or work.
Vetting and Medical
In our care, Tater Tot has received a vet check, vaccines, nail trimming, medication for an acute infection. Tater Tot is on monthly heartworm preventatives and has been neutered.
We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
