Adoptable Dachshund Mix Hazel – Adopted

Meet Adoptable Mix Hazel! Her life hasn’t always been easy…she was rescued from a terrible hoarding situation. 

Her experiences haven’t dimmed her spirit though, this 2-year-old, 12-pound mix is the sweetest little sidekick you could ask for. 

Hazel loves going on her daily walks around the neighborhood, enjoys car rides, and hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like—big or small! She’s friendly with new people (though she may give a few cautious barks at first) and quickly warms up for cuddles, kisses, and playtime.

Hazel is housetrained (just watch for her cues), crate-trained at night, and loves her dog bed, too. She has no food or toy aggression, is treat-motivated, smart, and eager to learn. She’d do well as an only pup or with other furry friends to keep her company.

Vetting and Medical

In our care, Hazel has received a vet check, vaccines, a dental exam, minor surgery for cherry eyes (all better now!), nail trimming, flea treatment, was tested for heartworm, is on monthly heartworm preventatives and was spayed.  

We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!
