At just 2 years old and a perfect 14 pounds, Lancelot is a loyal little companion looking for his forever kingdom! This dashing dachshund may not wear armor, but he’s got a heart of gold and a tail that never stops wagging.

Lancelot is a total sweetheart who adores other dogs—especially when it comes to playtime and snuggles. While he might be a tad cautious around dogs much bigger than him at first, he warms up quickly and is always ready to make new furry friends. He would love a home with another young, playful pup to chase around and nap next to. 

💖 What makes Lancelot so special?

• Friendly & gentle with everyone he meets (just approach slowly—he’s a little shy at first!)

• Great with dogs of all sizes and super respectful in the pack

• Kid-approved for ages 12+, though he hasn’t been around young children yet

• Excellent leash manners and a polite walking buddy

• Fully house-trained (though he may piddle a bit when nervous—it’s just his way of saying, “I’m feeling a lot of feelings!”)

• Crate-trained champ who’s quiet and calm when crated

• A+ car rider who loves sitting shotgun on your adventures

• Sleeps through the night—sometimes in the crate, sometimes in the bed (but we know he’s dreaming of a forever home where he can snuggle up next to you every night!)

Lancelot doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He rarely barks, doesn’t show any signs of separation anxiety, and is just a sweet, happy little guy who’s content being near his people.

Vetting and Medical

In our care, Lancelot has received a vet check, vaccines, dental exam, nails trimmed, and heart worm testing and medication. 

We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!

Adoptable Dachshund Lancelot – 2 yrs, 14 lbs

Whether he’s soaking up the sunshine in the backyard, going for a neighborhood stroll, or curled up next to you on the couch, Lancelot is just so grateful to be loved. His ideal home will have a fenced-in yard and at least one doggy sibling to romp around with—and plenty of snuggle time with his humans, of course. Adoption fee: $350.
