Adoptable Dachshund Ariel – ADOPTED

Adoptable Dachshund Ariel is a 5-year-old, 12-pound sweet and playful little pup who is ready to find her forever home! She had a rough start—her previous life involved being left in a crate for 10–15 hours a day, which left her fearful of crates. Because of this, she does best when left out of a crate and will happily snooze or play until you get home.

Ariel’s Forever Home Checklist ✅:

  • A home where she doesn’t need to be left in a crate when her family is out of the house

  • No female dogs. Ariel is very dominant and does not get along with other females. She can live with submissive male dogs but would also thrive as the only dog so she can soak up all the love.

Ariel’s Personality

  • Velcro dog through and through—she always wants to be with her person
  • Cuddly, attention-loving, and happiest snuggled in bed with you
  • Ball crazy! She needs her daily ball time and will never say no to play
  • Great on a leash and enjoys her walks
  • Rides well in the car and loves new adventures
  • Friendly meeting new people and new dogs
  • Good with children (both under 5 and older kids)
  • We are unsure how she will do around cats
  • House trained

Vetting and Medical

In our care, Ariel has received a vet check, vaccines and a dental exam. She is on monthly heartworm preventatives.

We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
