Adoptable Dachshund Mix Arthur is an adorable 2-year-old, 8-pound Dachshund mix who is as sweet as they come. This little guy is a cuddle bug who loves nothing more than being close to his people and giving kisses. Arthur came to the rescue after he was hit by a car and had pelvic fractures, now he is ready for his forever family!
Arthur’s Best Qualities:
- Gets along wonderfully with other dogs (big and small!) and even cats
- Great with children of all ages
- Friendly and social when meeting new people and dogs – no shyness here!
- Good on a leash and LOVES going for walks
- Enjoys car rides and is a calm, easy passenger
- Sleeps in his crate, dog bed, or snuggled up with his person
- No food or toy aggression, no separation anxiety, and not an excessive barker
- Thunder doesn’t faze him!
Home Life:
Arthur is working on house training and is pee pad trained. He’ll go potty outside but doesn’t yet ask to go out on his own, so he’ll need a patient adopter who can continue guiding him. A schedule is advisable to teach him the ropes.
Vetting and Medical
In our care, Arthur has received a vet check, vaccines, a dental exam, nail trimming, and is on monthly heartworm preventatives and has been neutered. Arthur came to the rescue after being hit by a car. He required surgery.
We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
