Adoptable Dachshund Oscar

🐾 Meet Oscar! 🐾

❤️ 1.5 Years Old | 21 lbs. | Looking for His Forever Family

Oscar is a sweet, lovable young dachshund who has one simple wish in life — to be loved. This handsome boy would happily spend every day curled up in your lap if you let him!

🏡 Oscar’s Personality

Oscar is a laid-back, affectionate companion who bonds deeply with his people. While he may be cautious when meeting new people, patience and understanding help him blossom into a devoted friend. His foster describes him as a very confident dog once he feels safe and comfortable.

When Oscar first arrived, he was unsure and anxious about his new surroundings. After learning that his foster always came home, he relaxed and now patiently waits by the door in his bed for their return.

Oscar is so enthusiastic about his daily walks that he’ll happily remind you when it’s time to go!

👋 Meeting New People

Oscar isn’t the type of dog who instantly greets strangers with tail wags. He needs time, patience, and a respectful approach. His foster followed a “no look, no touch, no talk” method, and after about a week, Oscar chose on his own to climb into a friend’s lap.

Once he trusts you, you’ll discover an incredibly loving and loyal companion.

Oscar would thrive with someone willing to give him time to adjust and continue building his confidence. He wasn’t well-socialized before coming into rescue, but he improves every day. His foster says he’s truly a great dog who simply wants to be loved.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily share your couch, your bed covers, and your heart, Oscar may be the perfect match.
