Dachshund puppy Stella is just the most adorable 8 week old! She weighed in at 3.5 pounds and is a live wire who loves playing with her toys and running around the yard.
Stella came to the rescue with two hernias. Now that one of our approved vets has examined her, we understand that while one hernia requires no treatment, the other one MAY require surgery when she is spayed. She has been vaccinated and is in good health. Her new family would be responsible for any additional medical expenses.
She sleeps through the night in her crate.. and has only had one pee-pee accident inside. Her foster takes her out every few hours and she goes the entire night without having to go back out.
Stella enjoys cuddling and will often fall asleep on her foster mom’s lap while being petted. She’s a sweet girl who is ready to soak up love and attention. She’s good in the car and when meeting new people.

Stella is a puppy and wants to play with her foster siblings who are older doxies….they try to ignore her but she’s pretty persistent. Being 8 weeks old, is going through the “puppy “ stage so she does want to chew and bite… so she will have to be taught what the word “no” means.
Her dream life includes a yard to play in, sibling or two to play with, active owners who want to spend plenty of time with her, and all the toys and treats that are good for her!

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
