Adoptable Mix Scooter – Pending Adoption

Adoptable Mix Scooter is 11 years old and 11 pounds! Scooter is the kind of dog who quietly watches the room, figures out who his person is… and then sticks to them like Velcro. He may be a little shy at first, but give him a minute (and maybe a blanket), and he’ll show you just how special he is.

This easygoing senior chiweenie is low-maintenance, affectionate, and full of gentle charm. He loves his walks, trots nicely on a leash, and is always up for a cozy nap- especially if there’s a blanket involved. (Scooter is a professional blanket burrower.)

Scooter isn’t into rough housing, but he loves cuddling with his foster brothers and would be thrilled to cuddle up with his forever person, too – as long as no one rolls or steps on him. He currently sleeps in his dog bed, but we suspect he’d happily share the bed in his new home

Scooter has a history of a back injury, so he’d do best in a home with:

• A calm environment (he’s a chill guy!)

• People who appreciate a dog that listens like he understands every word you say

He was quick to learn how to use a ramp and does a great job taking care of his potty business.

Vetting and Medical

In our care, Scooter has received a vet check, vaccines, a dental exam and a nail trimming. Scooter has a small rear hernia that is not currently an issue. On the rare occasion he strains to poop, a stool softener can be given as needed — and he’ll go home with a large bottle to keep him comfortable.

We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!
