Adoptable Mix Ryder – Adopted

Adoptable Mix Ryder is approximately one year old; believed to be a terrier, chihuahua and dachshund mix. Since he is young, he is full of energy when awake. His favorite thing to do is play with one of his foster siblings who is a mixed breed like him. They play hard and have a great time together.

When Ryder is not playing, he wants to be on his foster’s lap; he is a very sweet boy! Ryder minds well and is comical with his playful whining. He is so stinkin cute too! Ryder would do well being an only dog, or with a brother or sister. If you add this boy to your home, he will bring you smiles every day!

Adoptable Mix Ryder was rescued from a County Animal Shelter after being picked up on the streets with no ID and never claimed. The first week there he stayed in the corner of his cage and would not go to any of the workers; if they reached for him, he growled. The manager reached out to LRDRFL to see if we would take him so he would have a chance to be adopted. His new foster mom went to shelter to pick him up and as soon as he was in the car, he was happy! This little boy has been happy ever since.

Because of his fear at the shelter, Ryder should not be crated. Ryder sleeps in dog beds, on a chair, or on the floor. At night he is in the bed with his foster mom. He likes to be close. Ryder is an excellent passenger in the car. He usually sits on the console looking straight ahead to see where he is going.

Adoptable Mix Ryder – 1 year – 11.5 lbs

Adoptable Mix Ryder is timid at first when meeting other people and dogs, but warms up quickly when he sees they are friendly and he feels safe. At first Ryder had some anxiety when his foster would leave, but that went away after about a week once he settled in.

Ryder enjoys playing with his foster’s two dogs. He usually cuddles up with one when they aren’t playing. Ryder doesn’t have much to do with the cat. He will sniff at him, but doesn’t engage. At first, Ryder marked every once in a while, so his foster put a diaper wrap on him which he wore with no problems. Now, he doesn’t need it anymore. Once in a while he has a little accident.

Adoptable Dachshund Ryder has his Young (between 1-4) Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Spay or Neuter, Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication.

Ryder Summary

This adorable and playful little guy needs a home to call his own. He would enjoy a playmate and a yard, if possible. If you are looking for a furry friend to be your faithful sidekick, Ryder could be your fella!
