Adoptable Mix Penny – Adopted

Adoptable mix Penny is 12 years old and weighs 18 pounds. She doesn’t care much about other dogs, one way or the other, she just minds her business. She wouldn’t be good with a dog all in her face, but calm friends are fine with her. The big dog can’t be too hyper or play rough.

Adoptable Mix Penny

Penny likes children just fine, but as a senior, it’s important that the children understand how to be very gentle with dachshunds and doxie mixes. Older children are absolutely fine with her. She would be great for someone who works from home, retired as she loves to be with someone.

Adoptable Mix Penny

Penny needs to lose more weight. She doesn’t really walk too much now but continued weight loss will help to improve that along with short, but consistent, daily exercise. This can also go a long way toward extending her lifespan in general.

Adoptable Mix Penny

She is house trained, but not crate trained. As a matter of fact, she doesn’t much like being left alone and prefers a human who is around a good bit. Penny is a good girl who sleeps in a dog bed, she is neither food nor toy aggressive. She does, however, like to eat the food out of her friends dog bowls! You have to watch this little foodie carefully around mealtime.

Penny is the sweetest dog ever. She loves to follow you around and make sure you are okay. She is both potty trained and outdoor trained! This sweetheart is currently overweight, but soon that will change! Her fosters are getting her lots of exercise! She is a bit of a couch potato. Her health is otherwise very good. Penny is looking for the forever home where she can give you love and receive it.

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
