Adoptable Dachshund Angel – Adopted

Adoptable dachshund Angel totally lives up to her name! At 8 years old, and 16 pounds, she is in good health.

Adoptable Dachshund Angel

She is crate trained. Angel prefers the crate door open, but she will go in there during the day to sleep. At night, of course, this angel likes to cuddle up with her person in the big bed! This is a tradition she would prefer to continue.

Adoptable Dachshund Angel

Angel seems anxious in the car, but short rides that aren’t to the vet or new foster home have improved that. She doesn’t show any other signs of anxiety and she’s not food or toy aggressive.

She’s very easy to get along with, unless you’re a cat or a squirrel! Otherwise, she is great with dogs and people.

Adoptable Dachshund Angel

Although she’s good on walks, she came to us with a few burns or injuries to her toe pads, but they are almost healed. This has kept walking at a minimum. She’s completely house trained and has had no accidents at her foster home.

Adoptable Dachshund Angel

Angel barks when she gets excited, but “Hush” usually works to quiet her. There is no excessive barking with this little sweetie. When meeting new people, she may bark at first, but she’s extremely friendly. That tail is always wagging!

Adoptable Dachshund Angel – 8 years – 16 pounds

Angel lives up to her name. She is a loving sweetheart and is completely housebroken. She enjoys short walks & watching squirrels. Her favorite time is meal time and she eats her food and/or medications with no coaxing. She is fine home alone for about 4 hours at a time. She would do well with someone who is retired or works from home. Angel has skin allergies & requires regular vet checks & care. She is on preventative meds for fleas, ticks, & heartworm.

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
