Adoptable Dachshund Frank is 2 years old and 18 pounds. Frank is a happy, confident, and incredibly friendly boy who’s ready to find his forever family! He’s not shy at all – he just wants to be loved, played with, and included in everything you do.
Frank gets along great with both big and small dogs and is friendly with new dogs and new people alike. He’s also good with kids, making him a wonderful family companion. We’re unsure how he’d do with cats.
He’s housebroken (no accidents while in foster care with 3–4 potty breaks a day), walks well on a leash, and does great on walks. Frank tolerates a crate but enjoys having access to the house. At night, he prefers his own dog bed rather than sleeping with his foster.
This sweet boy loves to play fetch (especially with squeaky toys!), enjoys car rides and sits nicely in a car seat, and has no food or toy aggression – you can easily take toys from his mouth. He doesn’t bark excessively and only lets you know when he needs to go outside. No separation anxiety or signs of anxiety at all.
Frank is looking for someone who can give him lots of attention, cuddles, belly rubs, and playtime. A fenced yard would be a big plus, as he loves to run and chase a ball. He would also benefit from some basic training to help him be the very best boy he can be.
Vetting and Medical
In our care, Frank has received a vet check, nail trimming and was neutered. He is on monthly heartworm preventatives.
We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
