Adoptable Mix Fiona is a thirty-pound dachshund mix that is an absolute sweetheart to her people. She loves everyone she meets! Her booty shakes with excitement when greeted and is great playing with kids. Fiona must be adopted into a home without other dogs. She is not friendly with other dogs, regardless of their size, and will pounce if they get too close. It is safe to assume she wouldn’t like cats in the home either.
Fiona enjoys going for short walks around the block. In fact, she will stay right by your side and stop if you stop. Back scratches, playing with toys and being in the company of her people are how she likes to spend her days.
Fiona is quiet in the home. Foster mom says that she hasn’t barked even once! She is very gentle when given treats and food. Fiona is very low maintenance being that she is house trained, crate trained and doesn’t show any signs of separation anxiety. She will sleep crated, with you in the big bed, or in a dog bed.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
