Adoptable dachshund Woody is a 3 year old sweetheart who weighs 13 pounds and has stolen his foster moms heart! Although he isn’t easy to let go of, she knows he deserves the very best forever home and looks forward to that for him.
Everybody loves Woody as he is friendly with other dogs, big and small. He likes people and is good with big kids. We don’t know how he would do with cats, but he’s a nice dog who wants to please, so it’s possible he could be trained NOT to chase them.
Woody is house trained. Although he is also crate trained, he hasn’t used one much at his foster home. His foster mom takes him out almost every hour, but he can go up to about 3 hours or so, with no accidents.
He likes to sleep in the big bed with his people! He loves to cuddle when going to sleep but will sleep in his crate if needed. Again, he’s a people pleaser!
Like many dachshunds, he can be toy and food aggressive, but not to excess. He likes car rides, is not an excessive barker, likes meeting new people and dogs. He’s an all around good boy!

Woody is a sweet loving dog who loves to be outside and loves his hugs and kisses! He’s a young dog who needs a decent amount of exercise daily, toys to play with (or destroy), and wants to be your best friend! Woody is hoping for a yard where he can play with a nice fur-sibling or two.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
