Adoptable Dachshund Sheldon Cooper – Adopted

Adoptable Dachshund Sheldon Cooper

Four-year-old Sheldon Cooper has many common dachshund traits. He is smart, stubborn, sweet, cuddly, and playful. Some of his favorite activities include lizard hunting and exploring the backyard.

Adoptable Dachshund Sheldon Cooper

Sheldon currently resides with a senior doxie in his foster home. He gets along well with him, and they have an understanding, that even when Sheldon Cooper asks nicely to play, sometimes the resident doxie doesn’t want to play. Sheldon doesn’t show any signs of aggression with toys or food. He has chewed on his bed and blanket, but nothing that is not his in the home.

A few things Sheldon doesn’t care for, include thunderstorms and being picked up. He also does not like to be rushed. Foster mom says that patience is needed while you get to know him.

Sheldon Cooper

Sheldon does well when he meets new people. He isn’t shy and loves a good belly rub! Sheldon has experience living with an older child and gets along with small dogs. We are unsure of how he is with cats, small kids, and large dogs. In the home, Sheldon Cooper prefers to sleep in his open crate. This is his safe space.

In our care he has received: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Spay or Neuter, Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication

Sheldon is a little guy with a funny personality. He is house trained and loves to go for walks. He is looking for someone who will like to cuddle on the couch and go walking with him. He likes car rides and going along on an adventure. He’s hoping for a backyard with lizards to chase! We are confident Sheldon will make the perfect companion to a very lucky family. *Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
