Adoptable Dachshund Snoop will steal your heart!
I am a sweet 5-year old miniature Dachshund, and I weighs just under 10 lbs. I suffered an injury to my back that resulted in paralysis to my back legs. In July of 2019, I underwent surgery and after months of recovery I am back to walking. I do still have a prominent walk in my back legs. It is especially more pronounced the more tired I get. However, this does not slow me down! I love to spend my entire day cuddled up under a blanket in your lap.
I also love to chase – from squirrels, lizards, or basically anything that moves! I am well-mannered with other animals and children. However, I would do best with other children due to my back injury. I am attached to my squeaky pacifier toy. I am also a very good alarm system. I will alert you to every intruder that even thinks about coming close to my house.

I did not regain complete control of my bladder and bowels. I still have accidents, particularly at night or when I get excited. When I am running around the house chasing my squeaky toy or at night when I sleep in the human bed I usually wear my diaper-just in case. I will sleep in either the human bed or my bed as long as its near you with lots of blankets. I will stay in a large crate while you are gone (shopping for me a squeaky, of course!). Due to my back injury, my “furever” home can’t have any stairs. I would also not be allowed to jump from furniture.
