Adoptable Dachshund Pair, Roxy and Oakley, are 3 years old and about 12 pounds each.
Looking for a pair of pups who will keep life entertaining, fill your home with love, and keep you smiling? These two should make the cut, they are affectionate and personality-packed dachshunds who are ready to find their forever family.
Our Forever Home Checklist :
- Regular outdoor potty breaks to avoid accidents
- Because Oakley and Roxy are quite vocal, they wouldn’t be the best fit for environments where quiet is important—such as hotels, apartments with strict noise rules, or shared vacation rentals
- A calm home without other dogs
They’re crate-trained, house-trained, and sleep soundly through the night in their own crates—quiet, content, and ready to greet you with wagging tails in the morning.

Daily Life With the Girls
- Walks: Oakley and Roxy have adapted wonderfully to leash walking, whether solo or side by side on a double leash. While they may bark at cars, animals, or people along the way, they’re making steady progress with guidance and consistency.
- At Home: Both girls are respectful of food bowls, enjoy chewing bones, and have learned to stick to a potty schedule with minimal accidents. Roxy eats quickly and uses a slow feeder, while Oakley enjoys her meals at a more relaxed pace.
- Playtime & Personality: Roxy is the playful, curious one—she even loves to fetch and brings the ball right back for another throw! Oakley is the calm observer, often watching her sister’s antics with quiet curiosity. Together, they balance each other perfectly.
Their Quirks
Oakley and Roxy are vocal dogs—alerting to new people, outside noises, or other animals. While their initial barks may seem intense, they have never shown aggression and warm up with patience and consistency. Once they feel safe, they’re affectionate, snuggly, and happy to shower their humans with kisses.
They do best in a calm home without other dogs and would likely thrive with a fenced yard, regular walks, and humans who appreciate their loyal, spirited nature. Their reactions to cats and very young children are unknown, so a household without either would be best.
Travel & Alone Time
In the car, they share a cozy dog bed and travel with ease, occasionally “greeting” nearby cars with barks at stoplights. When left alone, they settle into their crates without causing damage, though they may bark for a while after you leave.
Why They’ll Steal Your Heart
Oakley and Roxy aren’t just pets—they’re companions full of love, quirks, and personality. They’ll alert you when something’s happening, keep you entertained with their silly antics, and curl up beside you when it’s time to relax.

Vetting and Medical
In our care, Roxy and Oakley have received a vet check, vaccines, a dental exam, flea treatments, heart worm testing and medication.
We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!
