Adoptable Mix Pippi – Adopted

Adoptable Mix Pippi is a very sweet, beautiful, and extremely intelligent dog. During her first day with her foster, she went through two doggie doors, and up and down ramps.  After all the activity, she slept the entire night!

Pippi enjoys her breakfast and dinner and a few carrots in between. She does her business right after breakfast and is ready to play. Her foster puts down pee pads, but she rarely uses them. She has had a couple of accidents in the house the first few days after her arrival.

Adoptable Mix Pippi

Adoptable Mix Pippi enjoys tossing up her toys and running around from kitchen to living room. She also enjoys being chased while in our gated side lot. Pippi is very small and can fit through small openings, so she needs to be watched when not on a leash.

Pippi gets along with other dogs once she gets acclimated. She ignores her foster’s male dachshund.   Pippi seemed to do well in the car but she’s only gone to the vet. She sat quietly in the passengers seat. Not sure she enjoyed the ride, but was well behaved in the car.  Pippi shows no aggression but is timid and runs from visitors. In time, she’ll warm up to be petted.

Pippi is very small and she’s still adjusting…  she shows signs of anxiety and does shake when she’s nervous. She’s only barked twice in 4 weeks. Pippi whines a little when left alone, but quickly stops.

Adoptable Mix Pippi – 2 years – 7 lbs

Pippi has lost a lot of her fur due to a case of Demodex. You can see in the first picture at the top of the page that it’s now healing and growing in nicely. She gets a medicated bath once a week and the veterinarian expects a full recovery.

Pippi had an adult Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Medication (temporary – like for acute infection), Skin treatments/ infections, Nail Trim, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication.

Her ideal home is a place where she is an only dog, or possibly has a single gentle sibling. She would like for her people to be around to play with frequently.

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
