Adoptable Dachshund Calli – Adopted

Adoptable Dachshund Calli is a beautiful, sweet dog, and will do best as an only dog with someone who has the time to give her all their attention. Our little Calli is quite the diva!

Adoptable Dachshund Calli

She will bark, but only if she wants your attention, or if she doesn’t want to be in the crate, which we happen to understand! As a matter of fact, she shows signs of anxiety when first placed in the crate, but she does settle down. Previous owners mentioned that she is not fond of fireworks or thunderstorms and may show some anxiety then as well.

She prefers not to be around children because they take away the attention from her and that’s no fun! She’s “extra” like that, our little diva, but she totally redeems her sweet self with cuteness!

She loves to run around in the yard hunting lizards and barking and chasing the squirrels. She loves to growl and shake her toys and make sure they don’t move.

Calli does tolerate other dogs but will do best in a single dog home as she is territorial over her people – and the spotlight.

Calli’s dream home is with someone who is home and/or doesn’t work outside the home. A home with no children is ideal, as she gets a bit jealous if she isn’t center stage in your life. Her ideal furever home comes with a yard with squirrels and lizards to hunt. And, of course, plenty of toys to destroy! Calli would lover to find her furever home in time for the New Year!

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
