Adoptable Chiweenie Peanut

Peanut is an extremely submissive dog, so it’s not likely that young children would be a good fit. She came to LRDR with another dog. Peanut has been fine with our 4 plus another foster dog. The foster home friends include a 70 pound (submissive) fur-friend whom Peanut gets along with just fine, as well as a cat.

She is house-trained and will let you know when she wants to go out and when she wants to come back inside. She does well on a leash but could use more time walking.

Peanut both sleeps with her humans and on her own. She will start out in the big bed but wants to go in a doggy bed. Peanut enjoys car rides and curls up in the car, and dog bed and likes to watch everything going on.

She’s not food or toy aggressive and is ok meeting new people and dogs. Curious and will go up to someone that comes in the house, with the other dogs. She is both shy and timid. Peanut will curl up or roll on her back like she is in trouble. We have been working on getting her to be more comfortable and less scared.

Peanut will bark if the other dogs are barking, but does not bark excessively. She’s a really good girl!

Adoptable Chiweenie Peanut

You could not ask for a sweeter dog than Peanut! Not only is she beautiful but she is fun to be with. Peanut may look a little strange because she has a type of Dwarfism that affects her front legs. She is a Chiweenie. She needs a friend that will play with her. The dachshund she came into rescue with would play but our group is not into that. Her coat is shiny and soft. Peanut is not a lap dog, per say, but wants to be with her human. She’s not a velcro dog.
