Jack and Sam Dachshunds – Adopted

Jack and Sam dachshunds for adoption – these two senior buddies are not officially bonded and therefore can be adopted individually. They don’t necessarily pal around and have made friends with the other dogs in their foster home. Although, they did come in together and they are seniors, so, if the right home pops up who wants to take them both together, they do get along with one another.

Jack and Sam Dachshunds

Jack and Sam get along with all other dogs, big and small. We aren’t entirely sure as to how they would do with cats, but we suspect that unless a cat ran from them, they would likely be just fine with them. So far, they have ignored the resident cat in their foster home. They are both pretty laid back and easy going!

Jack and Sam Dachshunds

Jack and Sam dachshunds are both gentle around young children as well as older kids. As long as children or grandchildren are taught to be cautious of their spines, we believe they would do fine around kids.

They are good on the leash and enjoy going out in yard or walking in the neighborhood. Both are house trained. We have made tremendous progress in a short time. They re very smart and learn the household routine easily.

Jack and Sam Dachshunds

Both dogs are crate trained. They are sleeping together in a large crate at night. They also like sleeping in a dog bed. They would love to sleep in the big bed with their hoo-mans!

Jack and Sam Dachshunds – 10 yrs, 17 lbs

Jack and Sam are wonderful dogs. They are friendly, happy and obedient. They have lived together all their lives ( or so I am told ) but apart from the first day at my house, they have not been hanging out together. Both are very curious and relaxed. They love going out and sniffing around in the yard and chasing lizards. Available after the 29th. Adoption fee for both senior dogs is $500. They may also be adopted individually as they are not technically bonded, but we prefer they stay together, if possible.

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
