Adoptable Mix Missy – Adopted

Adoptable Mix Missy

Adoptable mix, Missy, is ten years old and twenty-two pounds. Although almost blind, her foster mom says she adjusted within days to her new surroundings. She gets along with other dogs, including bigger friends. Missy doesn’t allow them to get too pushy – if so, she’ll push back. She’s been happy in her foster home of five other dogs.

Missy

Missy doesn’t let anything much slow her down. She’s friendly and attentive, she enjoys attention and has partial sight of light and shadows. This girl is always aware of what is going on around her and interacts with her environment like a champ!

We’re unsure of how Missy would be with cats or children under five. Older children that are dog savvy should work well with this girl! Missy is house trained and does well at home for a few hours without being crated.

This girl currently likes to sleep in her dog bed at night. You can take her on errands as she enjoys car rides and does well for the ride. Despite being blind, Missy doesn’t show any anxiety or timidness. Foster mom says that she doesn’t even bark much – only when excited.

Missy does require insulin shots daily, due to being diabetic. This doesn’t stop her from being a wiggle butt looking for treats after her shot. Nylabones and hard chews are some of her favorites.

Missy is a senior sweetheart who deserves her forever retirement home. She may be considered special needs due to her vision but is quite capable of doing daily tasks on her own just fine and more than capable of giving loyalty and love.

Missy

Missy would love to have a yard to play in and a fur sibling or two to keep her extra company. She loves to play with the other dogs! Walks are one of her favorite things, so someone who wants to get out and walk with her is important too.

Quote from her experienced foster mom,

Missy is the easiest foster dog I’ve ever had!”

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
