Adoptable Mix Casino is 1 year old and 16 pounds. Casino is one of those dogs who reminds you how resilient love can be.
We rescued him from the shelter after being found with a broken pelvis, likely from being hit by a car. Despite everything he’s been through, Casino has shown us nothing but sweetness, curiosity, and a growing confidence that blossoms a little more every day.

– Does fine in car rides (not his favorite, but no stress)
– No anxiety with fireworks, thunder, or being left alone
🐾 Personality & Heart
Casino is shy and timid around strangers, especially at first. New people can be scary for him and he’ll let you know with some initial barking. But here’s the beautiful part: with patient encouragement and consistency, his fear melts away. Typically, within a couple of hours, he’s relaxed, playing, and showing his true personality. We’ve already seen huge improvement in just two weeks.
He does best when his trusted person helps him feel safe and interestingly, he often warms up faster when his foster mom steps back and lets him build confidence on his own.
Once you’re “his person,” Casino is all in. He’s affectionate, silly, and deeply attached. He would happily sleep as close to you as possible (think: neck, face, anywhere he can reach 😄), though he’s also perfectly content sleeping in a crate if needed.

Casino is adorable, sassy, smart, and fun. He learns quickly, plays happily, and bonds deeply. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t just live in your home – he lives with you.
Vetting and Medical
In our care, Casino has received a vet check, major surgery for his broken pelvis, nail trimming, and nail trimming. He’s on monthly heartworm preventatives and has been neutered.
We depend on donations from caring people, like you, to make a difference in the lives of dogs. As an all volunteer organization, you can rest assured that the donations go directly to help the dogs. Thank you!

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
