Adoptable Dachshund Tiny – ADOPTED

Adoptable Dachshund Tiny gets along just fine with her foster siblings, a basset hound and another dachshund, but she does like to have her person.

Her foster home includes a 7 year old child who is used to having dogs around. She barks at him a few times every time he runs into a room, but then remembers him and is fine.

Adoptable Dachshund Tiny

Tiny is good on a leash and does well on walks. Her foster home has a fenced back yard. If you stay outside with her, she does her business and then waits to go back inside. If you don’t go out too, she just waits to come in without doing her business.

During the day, Tiny uses a dog bed, but she enjoys the big bed at night with her humans. She likes to burrow under the blankets and sleep between your feet.

She isn’t food or toy aggressive and does well on car rides. When meeting new people, Tiny is very hesitant at first and will hide behind the couch. Then she slowly warms up and comes out. If new people approach her while she’s being held, she does just fine. Tiny is very shy at first. She definitely prefers women, but does eventually warm up to men.

She barks a few times at anything that startles her, then calms down. Loud noise or sudden movement causes a few barks. With two other dogs and a 7 year old boy, there are a lot of loud noises and sudden movements. She would not bark nearly as much in a “quieter” home. When alone with her foster mom, she sits on her lap while mom is working all day and doesn’t make a peep.

Even though she obviously likes time with her person, she is not at all destructive when left alone.

In our care she has received: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Spay or Neuter, microchip.

Adoptable Dachshund Tiny – 1.5 yrs, 10 lbs

Adoptable Dachshund Tiny is looking for her forever bestie! She is slow to warm up but once she’s comfortable, the kisses are endless. She loves to be carried around and to sit in your lap. If you’re looking for snuggles, she’s your girl. If she were a person, she’d be a bookish introvert who loves fall, cozy sweaters, and hanging with her bff. Adoption fee $350

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
