Adoptable Dachshund Harley 2 – Adopted

Adoptable Dachshund Harley 2

Adoptable Dachshund Harley loves to cuddle and would be happy just to stay in your lap all day. He loves burrowing under blankets and he’s a goofball doing it. Harley loves to give kisses when sitting  on the couch. He is a typical dachshund being a bed hog.

Harley cried and whined a lot when he first got to his foster. He had to see everything she was doing and followed her everywhere she went. He doesn’t come when called which could be a hearing issue or just the stubbornness of the breed.  Harley suffers from separation anxiety and will bark for a bit.

Adoptable Dachshund Harley gets along with most dogs.  He may snap at another dog if they try to play and he’s not in the mood. Harley gets excited to go on a walk. Harley’s back legs are a bit wobbly and he sometimes gets them crossed, but will manage short walks.

Harley wears a belly band supported by suspenders because he dribbles. He doesn’t like to share his food or treats with other siblings, but he’s fine if his foster takes the food. Harley likes scrambled eggs mixed with his food.

Adoptable Dachshund Harley

Adoptable Dachshund Harley should be strapped in appropriately so he won’t try to sit in his driver’s lap. He does have some separation anxiety at first, but he settles down nicely. Harley’s a lot more trusting since he’s been with his foster.

Adoptable Dachshund Harley – 12 years – 12 lbs

Adoptable Dachshund Harley will go in the crate as long as he have some blankets to burrow under. He might bark and howl, but eventually gets over it.  Harley will sleep on whatever is available (couch, bed, lap, towels, blankets) as long as his foster is nearby.

This quirky, yet sweet, little goofball dachshund needs a retirement home where he can feel at ease & know he is loved. He needs a caring dachshund lover who will enjoy his funny personality.
