Adoptable Dachshund Ginger is a gorgeous, sweet and loving, girl. She is plenty clever and enjoys snuggles. Most of all, she loves attention. She has a funny and lively personality! Ginger will “nibble” a nose (not in a painful way) but more like a loving gesture and it is quite endearing.
Ginger wants to snuggle and give love while she watches TV and her reaction to any animals it is truly very funny. She does well with other small dogs, and has had plenty of opportunity to socialize at her foster home. To our knowledge, Ginger hasn’t been exposed to larger dogs, cats, or children.
Adoptable Dachshund Ginger needs ample opportunities to go outside, and potty pads indoors, as she can’t hold it for long periods. She walks well on a leash; however, should take short walks due to a prior IVDD experience.
Ginger isn’t food aggressive, but she will defend herself when she has a toy. Ginger enjoys soft beds with a blanket as she will move from bed to bed. She enjoys car rides. Most of all, she loves attention and isn’t shy at all!
Adoptable Dachshund Ginger has been to the vet for a Young (1-4) dog check. She had a Nail Trim, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication. Ginger is searching and patiently waiting for her forever home.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
