Belle, a 5-year-old mix weighing 27lbs, is a delightful ball of energy and affection. She adores the company of other dogs, quickly warming up to her furry friends and enjoying playful games of catch. Whether it’s romping around in the yard with her foster sister or curling up for a cozy nap, Belle’s friendly and gentle disposition shines through.
Not only does Belle get along well with other dogs, but she also has a positive attitude towards cats. Although she may be more people-oriented, Belle shows no signs of aggression towards feline friends, making her a versatile companion for any household.
When it comes to children, Belle’s playful spirit knows no bounds. While she hasn’t been observed with younger kids, her love for human interaction and gentle nature suggest she would make a wonderful playmate for older children. However, due to her enthusiasm for treats, it’s best to avoid placing her with younger kids who may be more tempted by her food-oriented antics.
Belle’s good behavior on walks demonstrates her eagerness for outdoor adventures, although she may pull a bit on the leash. She loves to explore her surroundings, sniffing to her heart’s content and enjoying every moment of her outdoor excursions.
Fully house trained and crate trained, Belle is a well-mannered companion who knows her boundaries. She enjoys the comfort of her dog bed but is happiest when snuggled up with her favorite humans at night. Her recent spay and possible UTI require a bit more attention to bathroom breaks, but with patience and care, she’s sure to recover quickly.
Belle’s affectionate nature extends to car rides, where she eagerly hops in and enjoys the journey from the safety of a lap or crate. She’s friendly towards new people and dogs, although she may be initially hesitant in unfamiliar situations. With time and love, Belle quickly warms up and becomes a loyal and devoted companion. Once warmed up, she is an alpha female and gleefully rules the roost.
In our care she has received: Vet Check, 1 or more Vaccines, Dental Exam, Medication (temporary – like for acute infection), Spay or Neuter, Skin treatments/ infections, Nails Trimmed, Flea Treatments, Heart Worm testing and medication.
Belle steals hearts wherever she goes. She will shower you in kisses and loves to snuggle with you on the couch. She will be happy to be your own personal heater during the cold nights of the year. Belle is highly food motivated, and would love you to teach her some more of the basic commands. Nobody will beat her to you when you call her name with a treat in your hand! Belle would love to go home to a family that spends as much time with her as possible. She has gotten along well with her Foster family’s Doberman and Cat, and likes to play fetch with her Foster Sister in her yard. You won’t find a sweeter dog than this sweet pup.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.
The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted, and treated, as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
