Adoptable Dachshund Max – Adopted

Adoptable Dachshund Max

Adoptable dachshund Max – HAS BEEN ADOPTED – is an adorable, sweet, fun, little boy. Max wobbles when he walks. He was in an accident and afterward, spent all his time in a crate. He doesn’t ever want to see one of those again!

Adopt Max

He walks with a very distinct gait that is quite cute and doesn’t let it slow him down. The veterinary says his spine is just fine. He needs range of motion exercises regularly with his front elbows and shoulders.

Max enjoys other dogs, doesn’t bark excessively, likes car rides, and is well house-trained. Although very young children wouldn’t be best for him, he does fine with older kids who have been taught to be careful. We do want to protect him from any further injuries. He’s had enough of that for a lifetime.

Though he likes other dogs, he can be a little bit aggressive sometimes. It is unknown as to how he reacts to cats. He likes to go for short walks, but because of his accident, he can’t go for long distances. He pulls some on the leash but is so small, it isn’t difficult to handle.

Max Needs a Home

Max likes to sit on your lap whenever possible and enjoys sleeping with his foster parents, and napping in his dog bed. He’s a lovable kind of a guy! Although Max is a senior dachshund, he has plenty of love and joy to offer. He’s young at heart, and simply needs a place and people to call his own.

If you believe you could provide a safe and loving forever home for this dog, please fill out an application with the dogs’ name on it.

*Be advised, we have a couple of volunteers processing hundreds of applications. We are unable to call everyone back as we do not have ANY employees. Our dedicated volunteers and foster parents will check references of the applications that appear to be a good match. At that time, if you are chosen, we will contact you to arrange a home visit.

The adoption fee helps to cover costs, as each dog is fully vetted and treated as needed to prepare them to move forward in their new life. You pay no fee unless you are chosen to adopt.
