Adoptable Dachshund Bailey – Adopted

Adoptable Dachshund Bailey (lovingly called “Little Buddy” by his foster family) just loves to snuggle with people and other Doxies.  He loves to eat and follows foster Mom around the kitchen while she’s preparing all the meals.

Bailey has gained 2 lbs since healing from a hernia and mass surgery.  He currently eats separately from his foster brothers and sisters. Bailey would do best with adults who work from home or retirees.

He has cloudy eyes and needs to be picked up carefully as to not startle him.  During storms, Bailey does fine covered up with a blanket snuggled up with foster Mom and other doxies.

It’s likely that he’d love taking walks in a dog stroller if someone wanted to get out and about with him a bit. 

Bailey is low maintenance and well-behaved. He would thrive in a home with another snuggle buddy! He does well in a crate and a doggie car seat. Bailey should be picked up and carried outside to do his business, then carried back in when he is done exploring.

He is very good about using a piddle pad as needed between outdoor breaks. When he’s not on the couch, he will find an open crate or doggie bed to take a nap. Bailey only barks while waiting for his meals.
