Not the update post I wanted to make, but here we Not the update post I wanted to make, but here we go. We know when we take in senior dogs with obvious medical issues, there’s always a chance we won’t get to see them get their happily ever after that we envision for each and every dog that comes through the rescue… a forever home and many, many great years in it. We still always hope for the best though. At Little Lady’s vet appointment on Friday, they did various imaging and reached the most awful conclusion: Little Lady has cancer and it is advanced and aggressive. She is not healthy enough to undergo any surgeries and even if she was, it’s too late. She was neglected and left without medical treatment for far too long and this awful disease has taken control of her body. The vet has given us 3 to 6 months with her and we are determined to make every single day her best ones yet. We hope to make her as happy each and every day as she is today, enjoying her special pup cup. Thank you to everyone who has been sending love and prayers her way, please keep them coming ❤️

To meet us there, in heaven's grace, A loving smile, on each warm face.” This past week, our sweet forever foster Frisky Clark crossed the rainbow bridge. Frisky came to the rescue almost exactly one year ago and made his way to his wonderful foster home with his incredible foster mom Michelle. When Frisky Clark became a Low Rider, he was said to be already 17 years old. Frisky quickly became a part of the family and embraced the term “forever foster” with so much happiness. He lived the past year with Michelle and her family and experienced love, peace, comfort, and joy each and every day. We truly believe this past year of his life was the best year he ever had and we can’t thank his amazing forever foster family enough for giving him that. Please keep Michelle and her family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the immense loss of the best boy.
